Name: Beck aka Caroline Shepherd

Appearance: Beck stands a mere five feet tall in bare feet. Her complexion is slightly tanned and has brown hair that falls well past her shoulders, and she has inherited her mother's blue eyes. Beck tends to dress her moods. If she's in a sour or depressed mood she'll wear nothing but black that day, a so-so day will have her wearing neutral colors, and on a cheerful, happy day will wear bright, vivid colors. Her clothing will vary due to mood as well from jeans and a plain t-shirt to a colorful shirt or sweater and long, flowy skirt.

Brief History: The reasons why are unknown, but when Beck was six the young girl bonded with a Fire Elemental. And it was through that act, and her inability to control the power she had been infused with, that Beck accidently killed her parents and younger brother with her elemental powers.

It was at the start of her teenage years that Beck was committed to the Mosaic Wellness Center, a place she found out was suppose to be a rehabilitation center for demons and other supernatural types. All was not as it appeared to be as the Mosaic Center turned out to be a high security prison from which the "residents" could not leave.

Beck arrived at the rehabilitation center a guarded and quiet teen. A far cry from the happy, outgoing girl she had been prior to her Fire Elemental bonding experience and accidental killing of her family. That was until William Shepherd was admitted into the center. It was through his being in her therapy that Beck allowed herself to open up to the man and let a friendship blossom.

When William had finally had enough of the mistreatment of the inmates by the senior staff, he started a rebellion against the staff and soon found himself with the support of other inmates, including Beck, who took a stand beside him. When the dust settled and the senior staff was no more, Beck left the center with William and took on the name of Caroline Shepherd in an attempt to shield her true identity and possibly have some semblance of a normal life. She still struggles with controlling her pyrokinetic powers, but Beck seems to have a better handle on her ability then she did before entering Mosaic.
